Perfectionism is a great source of misery for me. It’s the thing that keeps me from writing a book, striking up more conversations, and trying my hand at woodcrafting. And it’s what makes me hyper-critical of the things I do do (if you think internet commenters can be mean about someone’s writing, you would weep at what I make of my own work). But from a standpoint that I’m sure no therapist would endorse, perfection can also be delightful.

When it comes to playing games, there is no shortage of ways you can achieve greatness and soak in the enjoyment that comes with that. Clearing the screen in Tetris, pulling off a sick 360 no-scope, or turning the tables and eking out a victory with a sliver of health can all be immensely satisfying experiences.

CoD Season 6 Roadmap Details For Black Ops Cold War And Warzone

Activision has revealed the Call of Duty Season 6 roadmap for both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, and players can expect plenty of new content for Cold War’s final season. Season 6 will arrive on October 7 packed with a new Zombies experience, more multiplayer maps, and some drastic Warzone changes. There’s also vague mention of a spooky new event.

The Haunting Seasonal Event

The Haunting, which is listed as Call of Duty’s seasonal Halloween celebration across Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, is scheduled to arrive on October 19. Unfortunately, no details were given about the upcoming event, but more information is set to drop on October 18. It will likely be similar to last year’s Haunting of Verdansk, which gave unique challenges to complete for spooky cosmetic rewards, horror movie-themed operator skins, and plenty of jump scares.

Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 Raises Over $3.4 Million For Prevent Cancer Foundation

Awesome Games Done Quick 2022, the first of multiple charity speedrunning events run by the Games Done Quick Foundation, has ended with over $3.4 million raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation.

139 speedruns made up this year’s marathon, which began January 9 at 12 PM ET and ended at approximately 2 AM ET January 16. The exact amount raised by the event was $3,416,729, with all donations taken during that same time period.
