Joker 2 May Be A Musical Starring Lady Gaga As Harley Quinn

New details have come to light about the Joker sequel, which is called Joker: Folie à deux. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be a musical starring Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Joker.

2019’s Joker made $1.074 billion at the global box office and is the 33rd highest-grossing movie in the history of cinema, even outgrossing 2019’s other massive movie, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

According to THR, Gaga is in “early talks” to appear in Joker 2, but no deal has been made. However, Warner Bros. and Gaga’s team are reportedly “deep into” negotiations. Should the deal materialize, Gaga would play a new version of Quinn separate from Margot Robbie’s portrayal of the character.

Joker 2 will be once again written and directed by Todd Phillips, who also directed 2018’s A Star is Born starring Gaga and Bradley Cooper (who also produced Joker). The report had no information about the new musical angle for Joker 2.

Phoenix won the Best Actor Academy Award for playing Arthur Fleck/Joker in Joker, while Hildur Guðnadóttir won the Best Music Oscar for the film as well. The movie also earned nominations for Best Picture and Best Director, among others.

As for the Joker character, he appeared at the end of 2022’s The Batman, played by Barry Keoghan. It’s expected that Keoghan’s Joker will have a bigger role in The Batman 2, and that this version of the DC villain is separate from the one Phoenix plays.

The Immense Satisfaction Of Perfection

Perfectionism is a great source of misery for me. It’s the thing that keeps me from writing a book, striking up more conversations, and trying my hand at woodcrafting. And it’s what makes me hyper-critical of the things I do do (if you think internet commenters can be mean about someone’s writing, you would weep at what I make of my own work). But from a standpoint that I’m sure no therapist would endorse, perfection can also be delightful.

When it comes to playing games, there is no shortage of ways you can achieve greatness and soak in the enjoyment that comes with that. Clearing the screen in Tetris, pulling off a sick 360 no-scope, or turning the tables and eking out a victory with a sliver of health can all be immensely satisfying experiences.

But there’s something I’ve always found about Into the Breach–and, more recently, the excellent Tactical Breach Wizards, which shares some design DNA with Into the Breach–that …

The Haunting Seasonal Event

Unfortunately, no details were given about the upcoming event, but more information is set to drop on October 18. Destiny 2 Update 6.2.5.2 Gives Lord Of Wolves Another Tweak

This week’s update for Destiny 2 is a minor one, but the patch notes have revealed that it’s mostly focused on an Exotic weapon that has undergone some serious overhauling lately. For once, we’re not talking about Telesto. A few weeks ago, Lord of Wolves was temporarily disabled from the game after Bungie discovered that it had been doing far more damage than it was originally intended to.

The powerful shotgun, which has a perk that allows for it to auto-fire a tight spread of slugs when active, was once again fine-tuned to be more balanced in PvP activities. A 25% universal base damage buff was removed and replaced with a 40% PvE buff, with the gun’s ADS accuracy penalty dropping significantly. That fix was only temporary, though, and Bungie found that Lord of Wolves was still doing too much damage on top of its Release the Wolves perk.

Halo Infinite Community Director Asks For Fans' Thoughts On Buying Promotional DLC

Halo Infinite has a number of exclusive cosmetics tied to purchasing various real-world products, but a tweet from Halo Infinite’s community director asking fans their opinion on the matter means change could be on the horizon.

Though Halo Infinite’s year-long delay from Winter 2020 to Winter 2021 threw a wrench into some of the game’s marketing deals, players at various points over the last two years have been able to purchase things like Nerf guns, Halo action figures, Mega Bloks sets, and Rockstar Energy drinks in order to unlock exclusive cosmetics in-game. However, some of those cosmetics, like the ones associated with Rockstar Energy, are no longer easily obtainable, meaning many players have been left out.
